I am using windows xp performance monitor to monitor the remote sql 2000 server with sql sp3. I am monitroing following counters
Memory\Pages/sec
Network Interface\Bytes Total/sec
PhysicalDisk(_Total)\Avg. Disk Queue Length
Processor(_Total)\% Processor Time
SQLServer:Access Methods\Page Splits/sec
SQLServer:Buffer Manager\Buffer cache hit ratio
SQLServer:Cache Manager(_Total)\Cache Hit Ratio
SQLServer:General Statistics\User Connections">
SQLServer:Memory Manager\Total Server Memory (KB)
If I stop/start MSSQLServer and Agent services on sql server then I am loosing all sql performance counters until reboot the SQL server. I tried same countres on another SQL 2000 server with SP2, I did not have any the problem. Is there any way I can enable the SQL performance counters without rebooting the SQL server on sQL 2000 with SP3?. I also tried unlodctr.exe and lodctr.exe the SQL counters.
Thanks
