Setting up SQL Mail w/ Exchange

    I am trying to set up SQL Mail to work with MS Exchange, which I have never done. I could really use some help with this.

    I have printed out the online help article "Configuring SQL Mail" and it talks about configuring a mail profile. Do I have to set up a profile that is an Exchange profile? I ask because the online help doesn't specifically say that I have to choose a profile that has an inbox in Exchange. Maybe this is obvious and I am just being dense; that certainly is possible.

    In your case it I would say yes, set up a mail profile which corresponds to an Exchange mailbox. The reason why the MS article doesn't say so explicitly is propably because you could also use another type of mail server.
