DTS doesnt work on BLOB columns in ODBC source

    Hi,

    We can transfer BLOB objects within MS products (Access, SQL Server), but when the same is done on a ODBC data source, there is an error : Query objects or BLOB fields cant be handled.

    Is there a way to overcome this. I have sql server 2000 SP4. Does sql server 2005 support this.

    my workaround is converting the source data to varchar(4000) or even varchar(8000) in a temp/intermediate table and use this as the source in your DTS.
