SQL Server 2000 reporting

    Hi Folks,

    In 2005 SQL you can generate reports on the summary tab in Management Studio. It displays disk usage, top transaction by age etc. Is there any way to generate reports like this in SQL Server 2000. My guess is perfmon is my best bet. any Ideas?

    The reports in SQL 2005 are based on dynamic management views which of course are not available in 2000. But can can still collect a fair bit of information in soma database and when build your own reports. Or even easier you can use the SQL Health & History tool (SQLH2) which comes with a standard set of Reports, most of them will work with SQL 2000 as well.
