HELP >>> We have installed SP4 over SP1 on a SQLServer 7 - everything other than the Agent appears to work but the Agent is refusing to start. Stopping and Starting the service has returned a error message is 2186. Any help or do we start again?
Fixed the problem...All down to not having NetBios installed on server. Once installed SQLServerAgent started without a problem. Now to schedule all the windows updates NT6a, hotfixes and reinstall the SP4
