MSDE - Change servers ecurity mode

    Hello,

    I have installed MSDE2000 on a Blackberry server and the Blackberry server won't run in Windows Authentication mode. It must run in sql server userid/pwd mode. How do I change the default security mode of MSDE from Windows only to mixed mode?

    If this is an existing MSDE installation you can go into the registry to key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\MSSQLServer (or the instance) and find LoginMode.  Change this to 2 then stop and restart SQL and you will be in mixed mode.
