Hi All,
I have a database ... a secondary datafile (.ndf) was deleted when the database was in detached state, and now i cannot open the database. Please help me in recovering the database.

You will not be able to restore the database without all of its data files. A log file can be rebuilt assuming that the database was shut down or detached cleanly, but a data file is a totally different story. I'm afraid you'll have to restore from a backup if you can't recover the data file.

Do you have backups? If so, restore from the backup with replace option. mdf, ndf, and log will be rebuilt for you.
