adding & dropping articles in existing publication

    Hi,

    We run transaction replication .I am trying to add around 15 more articles to existing publication. So i generated script from EM beginning with sp_addarticle with required article name and parameters. Do i have to start snapshot agent. If so does snapshot agent will regenerate snapshot for all articles or only the added ones. Does the same process applies for dropping an article too. I think dropping an article from existing publication will invalidate the snapshot. What is the correct way of doing this.

    first stop the snapshot and merge agent and add the articles by going to the properties of the publication.Start the agents now and check. Every time you make changes to the articles snapshot is taken as the way it is present and now in this case I think old rows with the present 15 articles will be there. Try it out
