Hi,
If we implement an internet facing IIS web server in our DMZ which connects to a SQL Server in the Trust, do we need "Pre-Processor" licensing for our SQL Server.
This is for our 3rd party CRM system to track emails but not to actually host web sites proper.
We say probably yes, but the software vendor says no. The server is currently licensed using "Server\CAL" as part of our site Software Assurance.
I've looked on the Microsoft site, and there's no definite yes or no to be had, but I may have missed something.
What do you think, and links would be handy to backup what we say.
Thanks, Shawn
