Nov 8-11, 2010 2010 PASS Summit

If you have some expertise, or even want to increase your changes of being picked for the PASS Summit or another large event, you ought to think about submitting a session to a SQL Saturday.

User Groups

Most of you have a local user group that is always in need of speakers. Consider practicing a presentation there and working on your delivery. It doesn't have to be perfect, but share something you've learned. I'm sure most of them would love even a 15-20 minute talk on some subject.

Career Builder

Practicing your delivery, your teaching, your communication skills is a great career builder. You'd be surprised how easy an interview is after you've been on stage sharing information with a group ahead of time.

If you are advancing in your career, consider giving a short talk somewhere this year and helping out your fellow SQL Server professionals.
