I created the table and used the selection from the question and all that was returned was the message stating that the query was complete. I fully expected that the sentence would be returned but nothing was returned when I ran it. I did a normal select on the table I created and it returned the five rows so the values were in the table. So of course I would believe what Query analyser returned and not what I expected and so query analyser returned null for me.
