Alvin will soon be making a christmas soon that involves flux capacitors, pork chops, and bears

Did you mean a Christmas song? I could probably write one, but, trust me, you do not want to hear me sign it.

    I've never heard any "sign":w00t:

My signing is better than my singing so I just thought I'd be nice to you guys. 🙂

Edit: ooops, that should have been "guys and gals"

  • Good that you included gals. Very bad to give offense.

At least one practices with edged weapons... and fiber-optic laser disassemblers. She showed remarkable restraint against the vuvuzelas. I was checking the news every day expecting to read about carnage in the streets.

  • Interesting... PASS accepted my abstract on the Tally Table session. I'm actually a bit surprised at that. I had also submitted an abstract on a new way to do hierarchies that pretty much blows away the HierarchyID datatype and even the "Nested Set" method but that didn't make it even though I thought it was much more interesting. It's ok, though. Looks like I'm going to PASS this year and the Hierarchy session will make a dandy article on SSC.

Looking forward to meeting you folks in person.

  • Ah.... just found another email from Elena... the Tally Table session in "Approved" and the Hierarchy session has been labeled as an "Alternate" in case someone has a problem and can't present. Looks like the SSC article is going to have to wait. 😛

That kinda sucks. I hope somebody cancels so the Hierarchy session can be presented.

  • Congrats, Jeff. I will bring a big bag of peanuts to your session so your SSC fans can throw them at you if you mention Hamster Poo.

I'm off to see Jimmy Buffett on the beach. Y'all have a great weekend.
