Sheez. First, I decide to start Ryan Tannehill over Andrew Luck, and he lays an egg. Then I discover -- too late -- that Carlos Hyde is out.
My only saving grace is that Jerry is having an even worse matchup performance.

Been heads down, haven't had a chance to write. Bummer too, as it's been a tight season with lots of story lines. Lemme see if I can capture this week in verse...
SSC Steelers (7-4) v Select * (5-6)
Both need wins to remain in the playoff hunt. The Steelers have lots of questions at WR, which combination will achieve victory? Select is trying to keep it together long enough for his competitors to fall out of playoff contention, but it's an up hill battle. Brady v Manning in a classic shootout.
Ditka (4-7) v SQL Bolts (4-7)
Both teams had high expectations at the beginning of the year, neither lived up to them. Injuries and lack of touted production can be blamed, along with some bad luck in matchups. Each is a warrior and will compete to the end of the year, for bragging rights.
SELECT Wins INTO (7-4) v Old Cattonians (5-6)
More playoff implications with a potential division champ on the line. Rodders is enjoying his best FFL season to date, newly inspired by seeing his SSC friends at the Summit (yah, it's been that long since I've written). SELECT says 'Nay' and will ride his squad of new starters due to injury to compete for the Full division.
Orange Engineers (6-5) v NFLSoldiers (7-4)
The Engineers continue to be snake bitten, averaging over 100 points a week with a record one game above .500. The Soldiers have the top spot in the Simple division but could be dethroned with a loss. Hopkins needs another big day for the Orange men, Rodgers will remain his consistent self. Hopefully the Engineers realize that J. Forsett is OUT.
Mexicanos (3-6) v British Bulldogs (7-4)
This matchup shows to be lopsided on paper, but that's why we play the game. The Mexicanos will have pride on the line, the Bulldogs will want to cement their division lead and gain a better seed for the playoffs.
Prestige Worldwide (8-3) v Way0utWest Cowboys (3-8)
The projected points are almost equal but the records look like mirrors. There's holes in each lineup but it appears that PW has more firepower. The Cowboys are a proud bunch though, especially since Steve may have to hear it from Keith in Albuquerque in February.
Make sure your lineups are set, even if you're out of it.

Nice write up Dan.
It's won't have changed anything but my benched QB scored double my starting QB. I knew it was a mistake swapping them! Need to try and sort out my WRs though!
It was good catching up with you at Summit, albeit to brief. We'll have to sort something out for next years Summit, assuming we both go!

Can any of you advise on tie-breaking procedures for the playoffs?
Game of the week should be me v Keith, 2nd seed v 1st seed, Keith looking for revenge for my Week 2 victory.
So if I beat Keith, we have the same win-loss record and I will have beaten him head-to-head twice, but I will never catch him on points even if he benches his full team, so who would get the top spot? Has Keith already got it wrapped up as top scorer?
And if I lose, do all my head-to-head wins count for nought if all the 7-5 players managing a win, also manage to outscore me over the season, dropping me to 3rd seed?
Great season, qualified for the playoffs and, going into the last game, could finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd seed. Great improvement on the last couple of years. (I know there are some other important match-ups this week but my eyes are on just the one...)

I just found something that says head to Head results are ignored, Yah boo hiss :crying:
So Keith has top seed position and I need to win to get 2nd seed (or get a high scoring loss and rely on other results...)
Might have to beat him three times in the same season to win this, best way is one game at a time... 😛

No sympathy here. There are four of us in the Simple division fighting it out for three playoff spots!
So if I understand this correctly: any of the top three: win, and we're in. (Of course, two of us are going head-to-head!)

If it is for the division lead, the first tie breaker is winning percentage in the division. If it is for a wild card spot, the first tie breaker is total points scored for the season.
