Query the transaction log?

  Hello all,

  I've been looking at SQL Profiler, which is great for capturing / reviewing current Actions/ data going through a SQL server.

  Is there a way to query the transaction log to see the same type of information that was processed a week ago?

  I've been asked to look at the SQL server and see if I can recover a list of actions for a particular user.. Its a bit of an excersise to see if its possible to recover someones actions from anywhere upto 2 weeks ago.

  I guess, if a user decides to leave a company and deletes all the customer contacts from SQL ( which isnt a huge issue as we have backups ) it would be nice to know who did it...

  ahh.. I've just read on google that SQL 2k doesn't have a tool for querying the Transaction log.

  so i'm now looking at these
