I had a package running on production since last 2 years. Suddenly I am getting below error
Could not load package "\MSDB\PROD_GAPS\Nightly_Load_GPExtract" because of error 0x80040154.
Description: The package failed to load due to error 0x80040154 "Class not registered". This occurs when CPackage::LoadFromXML fails.
No change has been made lately to the package.
What could be the reason for teh error.. Any Ideas??

Has anything changed on the server?
What does the package do? What are the tasks/components/connection managers used?

Nothing has changed on the server also..
Its a simple etl.. takes few records from SQL server and put them on a text file

No special connection managers or providers? No script tasks or something like that?

Go to your control panel, add/remove programs and repair/reinstall your MSXML 4 or 6 (the latest one you have which depends on which SQL Server version you have) as we find this often fixes similar issues especially after windows updates have run.
