Which sp or job performs the retetioncleanup?

    Hi,

    I changed the settings of my retetion periode in the publication. But there was no change in the number of rows in msmerge_contents, msmerge_genhistory and msmerge_tombstone.

    Which job or stored procedure does this 'retentioncleanup'? Can I start in manually?

    I do believe it is

    sp_mergecleanupmetadata [ [ @publication = ] 'publication' ]

    [ , [ @reinitialize_subscriber = ] 'reinitialize_subscriber' ]

    Just make sure you set @reinitialize_subscriber to FALSE as the default is TRUE when you run.
