You can probably create a vb.net program to execute you DTS pkg, this app can be distribute to the users hiding connection and passwords.
Here is an example how to execute dts...

I didn't see that problem before. Try to use this great tool to transfer you pkg and check if you have the same error.

Sometimes is tricky to work with UDL connections. What type on connection is in the UDL?
If you change anything on the UDL you have to do it on the file...

The best way to do this is to export as text file and imported to sql.

yes you can... from enterprise manager, mouse right click -->all task -->generate sql scripts.

After you create the package... are you deleting the txt file?
If you want to do any transformation the text file has to be there in the same place.

mmm.. I see and sysxLogins table in master with xdate1 and xdate2. Maybe we are checking the wrong table.
