number of columns = expected number of commas + 1 something like a while loop would allow you to iterate with charindex to a point after the last #expected#, then a single charindex finds/doesn't find the extra.

It shouldn't create more rows (at least not that I have ever seen or can recall running across before). How are you determining rows in the index also?

Can you pls check the web user is a part of MSDB database. And it's cumbersome to create a user in MSDB for each of the web user.Since you call the dts package from the procedure, I hope there's no trouble in executing the package on the dbo account.Thanks, Ganesh
