Hi, well in EM goto Security -> Logins. Select your user -> right-click -> properties. Select 'Database Access' Tab. Check 'Permit' and 'db_owner' for each DB. It's a stupid activity , if someone knows a smarter way in EM, please let me know Cheers, Frank

Those servers may be in different domain than others that you have permission to start/stop services. You can remote manage those serevers to start/stop services but you need to be local administrator in those machines.

I am pretty srue there is a proper conversion however I cannot seem to find it right off. But here is a way that will work DECLARE @s as VARCHAR(2) SET @s = '4F' EXEC('SELECT ASCII(CAST(0x' + @s + ' as varbinary(1)))')
