If file recovery doesn't do it, call MS. They might get you to a stable state. Also, do a full backup of your db file (the .mdf) right now. That's got the data.

Related to the foreign key suggestion - do you have indexes on the foreign key columns in the other tables? This will speed the lookup significantly.

You can try to give index hint to the queried tables explicitly. In this scenario, your are not trusting sql optimizer.Give no lock hint as well if the chance of dirty read is very low.
