FYI - We don't install Outlook on our servers because of the associated security patch problems, but I ran across some freeware a little while back that sends e-mail without using Outlook or SQL Mail. Here is a link to the site: Jon

I already encounter the same problem and what I did is I shrink the file in a small chunk. On my case, I shrink it by 1GB at a time. hope that helps.
