The Server I am using for development has two names: The DNS name is ixy341w1 on our European WAN or ixy341w1.abceur1 on our global WAN. Remember encryption doesn't have to be one-way only....and also who's to say that XMHRTYDSDS is just plain text or HELLOWORLD encrypted? Not sure if this will help, but can you verify the table collation? Perhaps the default collation is different from the previous installation? That would treat lower/upper case and other things differently...Hope that helps.Mike
