Returns server and instance information via a registered server query, regardless of SQL version.

Bad news for you. Any login to SQL Server has access to the master database. The guest user is required to be activated on master. Therefore, if you have a login, you have access. You don't want to alter permissions on xp_cmdshell, especially for a SQL Server servicing a web site. As for why a […]
