Create unique user name from first and last name

Does anyone have a function or stored procedure to create a unique user name from first and last name?  I would appreciate the help. Thanks

The point about the barcodes is valid. It is just a font, but the font needs to be available to all client machines...usually loaded at the client level. In addition there are over 30 different barcodes out there. It sort of depends on the client.

RE: Setting Up Replication from SQL 7 to SQL 2000

Please see that attached. It details a method of accessing SQL 2000 database via the SQL 7 ODBC Driver. This is needed because the SQL 7 driver can't handle the new SQL2000 server\instance names. We used the above topic for configuring replication from a SQL7 to 2000 instance.

That may be a security issue, check if you are in the group OLAP Administrators and you have full access to the directory where the repository is (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdrep.mdb).
