Also I want to add that when you have several articles when there is an sync error, SQL doesn't indicate exactly which table is halting the whole replication. In case you have 40 or 50 replicated tables................wooop

To get the length of a column, you can use the following function: COLUMNPROPERTY( OBJECT_ID('tablename'),'columnname','PRECISION') It seems the query optimizer should evaluate it only once instead of for every row.
