This is always something that has bugged me in BIDS, and I've never been able to figure out a cleaner way of doing it...
Every once in a while, I accidentally select "Exclude From Project" instead "Execute Package". That removes the package from the project (obviously).
What I want to do is add the package back on to the list, but BIDS creates a second copy - with the (1) added to the name. Since all of the packages are in TFS, this creates a big pain in the butt where I have to remove the original, delete the file from the file system, rename the "(1)" package, blah, blah, blah.
Is there a way to just add the package, as is, back onto the list without having to go through all that rigamarole?
Thanks!

You could edit the project file directly, it really is nothing more than a text file. I've done it many times, especially to re-order things..

Use "Add Existing Item" instead of "Add Existing Package". It will not make a copy of the package.
