I have a user who killed a BACKUP and now the SPID is in a KILLED/ROLLBACK state. When I issue the KILL command against the SPID it tells me its 72% done but its not budging further, the CPU is ticking over for the SPID but not the I/O.
I was not aware that the BACKUP command had to be rolled back when killed. What gives?
