Hi Team,
I am planing to find the memory requirement for SQL Server 2008 64 bit box. THis is a new box.
I have only these information:
1.OS version and edition : win 2008 with Enterprise or STD
2.SQL server 2008 either Enterprise or STD
3.No.of instance 1
4.OLTP env
5. 60% read activity / 40% write activity
7. No.of users 500 - 1000 / hour
8. Concurrent users : 100-200

As Gail said, there's no good way to answer that question. But you can start by looking up the minimum required to run SQL Server and add on top of that. I also recommend looking at your current memory usages and adding that to the equation. That will at least give you a baseline of memory.
