Daily Coping 27 Oct 2022

,

Today’s coping tip is to write down three specific things that have gone well recently.

Easy, as a lot of things have gone well. I’m going with some travel things, as I’ve done a lot lately. I came off 6 weeks in a row of going somewhere every week.

1. My Global Entry/Pre expired as I was leaving for a trip. I found out at the airport, and luckily didn’t miss my flight. I scheduled an interview online, it was renewed, and things worked when I got home. Amazing to me, but also it was pretty cool how well this worked.

2. I had to change some plans, and needed to cancel part of a trip and rebook part. It went really well, in fact, smoother than I expected. I’ve often had minor glitches with software handling complex things, but in this case the travel worked great.

3. I arrived late on a trip and needed a hotel for the night before a drive the next morning. I checked, and there were enough points to book a free room for a quick overnight. Love when that happens.

I started to add a daily coping tip to the SQL Server Central newsletter and to the Community Circle, which is helping me deal with the issues in the world. I’m adding my responses for each day here. All my coping tips are under this tag.
