If I set up Change Data Capture (CDC) in source system running 2008R2, will this be compatible with target system running 2012/14?
Specifically, will the SSIS CDC tasks/transformations be able to "read" that data in target system?

Hi,
Thanks for post but not really as it is just a brief summary about the technology itself, nothing really about compatibility.
I'm now assuming that compatibility will not be an issue as the CDC feature was released in 2008R2 and one would think all versions subsequent to that would sit comfortably with it.
I shall have to experiment myself and give it a trial run.
