64GB RAM on SQL 2005 Standard on W2K3 Enterprise

  • Does a RAM of this magnitude help in performance improvement?

    Surely we don't need such a huge RAM to access memory locations, because the size of the storage devices and time to search will in turn increase by leaps and bounds....don't you think RAMs more than 32 GB are always under utilized due to limitations of processor frequencies and other hardware configuration, the Cache memory being vital and costly?
