Access drops connection SQL server after @2mins

  The problem im having is an issue that seems to be getting worse

   

  Basically on long running updates from an access 97 database to SQL server via code (not queries)

  Upgrading to other versions of access (eg XP) dont fix the problem

  the connection seemingly timesout about every 2-5 mins , i have run a trace on a machine causing the issue and it does actually loose the connection...however i have no idea why the connection is being dropped !!

  anyone with any ideas/tools tests for me to run i would be very grateful

  the client OS

  MDAC is 2.7

  client pc OS is XP professional SP1

  Server is 2003 with SQL 2000 and we use NTAuth

  Please any ideas on this is much appreciated as i am at a loss to explain, willing to post code/logs if it would help ?
