Active Directory Reorganization

    I am hoping you can help me out.
    We are running Windows Server 2012, 2008 and SQL Server 2014 SP3, 2008R2
    My system administrators are planning to reorganize the Active Directorystructure and will be in essence moving my SQL Security Groups from oneOrganizational Unit [OU] to another. 

    More specifically, we have SQL configured in Mixed Mode and oneach instance we have several AD groups as SQL Logins.  The groups contain our users and applicationservice accounts.

    I am wondering if the change to AD will impact SQL server.  According to the Administrators the accountwill remain intact and the membership will not change - only the location ofthe group will change.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

    if just moving the accounts to another OU within the same Domain it will not change the account SID so your servers will not be impacted.
