One of my coworkers gets the following when trying to access Activity Monitor through SSMS on a particular server:
Cannot show requested dialog.
Could not load file or assembly 'Activity Monitor, version 9.0.242.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest. (mscorlib)
I've done many, many hours on the net with little results. The most probable cause was incompatible versions of tools to RDMS. That did not pan out because I can recreate the error on the subject server (Server A), but I do not get the error on Server B. The config of both follows below.
I am out of ideas and beg refuge and sanctuary.

Is everyone who attempts to run activity manager getting this error? If so, you may have a corrupt dll (mscorlib) on the system and you may need to replace it.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, everyone who attempts to view the Activity Monitor on that server receives the same error.
Is replacing the dll just a matter of dragging and dropping or is there more to it?
I'll try to do better with formatting information next time.

Maybe. That's the first thing I'd try, but then I'm the type to jump in and try things.
