adding /3GB in boot.in

    This is something that I was wondering if I did it right.  Recently I added 3GB switch in boot.ini to boost performance. We running MS Sql2000 EE SP3 on Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I found many posts about it and still confused if this is appropriate set up for our server. Below system summary.Regards.Mark Gorelik

    most of the posts here on the subject apply to 2003, not necessarily 2000.  I would reference the link to the MSDN document for the conclusive answer.  I think the picture has gotten a bit distorted in these forums with cross-posts and multiple threads.
