adding /3GB in boot.in

  • This is something that I was wondering if I did it right.  Recently I added 3GB switch in boot.ini to boost performance. We running MS Sql2000 EE SP3 on Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I found many posts about it and still confused if this is appropriate set up for our server. Below system summary.Regards.Mark Gorelik

  • most of the posts here on the subject apply to 2003, not necessarily 2000.  I would reference the link to the MSDN document for the conclusive answer.  I think the picture has gotten a bit distorted in these forums with cross-posts and multiple threads.
