Adding all the Fields from a dataset to a table

  • Hello

Is there an easy way to add every Field that exists with a dataset to a table without going through the drag and drop process

You can't even add multiple blank columns, then change; this is a one at a time process

It's a time consuming process if you have quite a few fields

I've tried the wizard but that just seems to want to group as a value is required

I've seen responses such as 'edit the rsd file'

Can't believe there isn't an easier way

    Thanks

    Damian.

  • About the best you can do is once you add one field from your dataset to the tablix/matrix, then you can choose the other fields by clicking on the next column and choosing the field from the dropdown. (I tried to ctl-click and can't do it with the field list. =( )

  • You can use the wizard to creat new report then copy acorss the table.

Or again not great - work backwards in your column list, so yoiu are always adding to teh left of the last column entered - its easier than right.

From reading there doesnt seem to be a better solution.

  • Problem with the wizard is that it looks for a value (compulsory)

Once you drop that in it groups every column!

I now think this simply isn't possible

Seems like such basic functionality to me

    Thanks
