I had an existing replicated DB in a cluster that was synchronizing successfully. I added a database master key/cert/symmetric key and encrypted column to the on primary replica. Some other changes required me to remove and add the DB back to the Availability group. During that process the full backup is restored, but backing up the log fails. I've tried adjusting the default backup encryption setting, but no luck. Any ideas how to make this work?
