After SQl Server Up gradation to 2005 Processor Consumption is High

  Hi,

  i have upgrade my database to sql sever 2005 through side by side topology

  i have detached the DB from sql server 2000 and attached 2005 engine

  Installed SP3

  then changed the compatibility level to 90

  then execute re-Build Index and Shrink DB and loga

  E Data Disk is on SAN

  but after doing this my problem is still exist

  my processor taking more resource to 70 to 80 present

  please help me

  how can i reduce my processor recourse to normal mode like 30 or 40 present

  i will really indebted to you

  If I remember correctly, I had the same issue upgrading from 2000 to 2005. I updated the stats and rebuild my indexes.

  You need to update the stats after re-index or index-defrag. Try running sp_updatests .....
