    Thanks for the info, Eric. Seems like I'd heard of these MS VMs, but I'd forgotten about them.

    I'm going to have to dig in to them a bit and see what's involved in creating and quickly restoring an environment if everything is lost every 2 hours.

    They are intended to be used only briefly, just for the purpose and duration of a TechNet instructional video. The advantage is that they are preconfigured and ready to go based on what specific topic you're learning (like MDS or AlwaysOn Availabiity Groups) and require nothing on client PC but a MS Live login and web browser. You can always restart with a fresh VM session.
