Are the posted questions getting worse?

How about a table where the PK is on a text datatype? (as are most of the other columns also!)

Now that I've seen that one, and the one which Lutz referenced here recently, I think I can say that the answer to this forum's title up to those two was almost certainly "YES" but now must surely be "NO".

The scary part is that I'm involved in both threads. :Whistling:

I might need to step back for a while to see (from a distance) whether I'm having a bad influence...

If so, the questions should improve immediately.

  • I think Lutz has some bad karma going. It seems every weird thread I come across with a difficult OP is one in which Lutz is answering. :w00t:

I'm glad you're looking at it that way...

The other way (every thread I'm answering will force the OP to become difficult) would have make me think a c.u.r.s.o.r. is the ultimate solution (which I would consider being an analogy for jumping off a bridge 😉 )

New job, not as much opportunity to be here during the day between doing things.

Plus, it is now soccer season, and I have already done 5 games since last Thursday. I have another tomorrow and two more on Saturday.

    Just having so much fun!

As for the job, not really doing much at all there yet. Still don't have access to a even a sandbox to start playing with Oracle. Hopefully, though, I should be able to rewrite some of the code that has been written already. Just something I don't like about loops when there are other ways to do things, even if it appears to be longer code wise.

Yep... sometimes I forget that even though this is a water cooler forum, there are still limits.

  • Speaking of bull... I just signed up to do 2 sessions for SQL Saturday #60. What's up with the SQL Saturday site, anyway? The "blog" link goes to some IIS7 forum. You can't edit a session submital. The email for session 60 gets kicked back to me as a daemon failure. Without the email working, there's virtually no way to contact the folks holding the event. I sent "Nancy" (on the main SQL Saturday Contact sheet) and email for those folks to call me.

If any of you know an email address for any of the the folks running #60, tell them to PM me... I need some information.

    Thanks folks.
