I'm guessing the specific constraints used in that post are just a simple example to show the syntax, and that their actual use case is more complex (and actually still useful).

I find it very depressing that many people that are "stuck" in great jobs with the opportunity to learn new things is the norm rather than the exception still won't take the time to learn something new especially if it requires them to do a little study on their own time. How often have we heard folks say something like "The company won't pay for training so I'm not learning anything. Should I move to a different company?"

OMG no kidding... First if you are in this space and can't afford some classes (if a formal class is what you need) then you are doing something seriously wrong. There are entire courses on YouTube for FREE. Pages and pages of them. Of course there is this thing called Google... If you are a developer and can't / don't incrementally learn new skills if by nothing else than exposure you are likely in the wrong field.
While I do agree that there are lots of free resources on the SQL side, a lot of OTHER vendors hide their support and learning behind many layers of licensing/user ID's, so you can find yourself locked out of being able to learn certain critical skills if your company isn't willing to weigh in.
Not everyone agrees to make documentation and learning easily accessible, I am afraid. You could learn all of Salesforce from a laptop and an internet connection, but pretty much anything IBM/Software AG or other similar vendors, forget about it. In these cases where you find yourself stuck, you can no doubt find something to learn, but it may well be that you're learning for your next employer.

I must have mis-understood your post here. I thought you were commenting on the impossible combination of <42 and >42.
As to the syntax error - I thought that was OP's point: that the code he posted raises an error (with a confusing message) even though the syntax should be correct according to the documentation.

Shifting gears a bit... I've been forced into using O365... My initial impress is that the online version of Outlook sucks. You can't collapse the "Today", "Yesterday", "Last Week", etc, groups. Rules don't have an "Apply Rules Now" selection, either. From what I've been able to find out on Yabingooglehoo, these problems have been reported by many for years and not even a glimmer of hope yet for them to bring that functionality back.
MS proves, once again, that "Change is inevitable... change for the better is not".

Same here. The online version blows chunks. And man the online sharing concept of documents is so damn frustrating.

You should be able to download and use Outlook as a client, even if O365. That's what we have, but I'm not sure I ever have used the online version.
