And in other news....I have taken the plunge. After almost 25 years as a developer I have just accepted a new position as a full time DBA. Even more crazy for me is that I have been at the same job for almost 14 years. Excited and nervous all at the same time.

Notifications should be working again. I caught this as I was heading out on holiday and filed the issue.
What I got back over the last few days (while gone), was this:
"PR to update Project NAMI to the latest version (#2073) needed patching (as previously) to correctly translate the FIND_IN_SET MySQL statement to the SQL Server PATINDEX equivalent"
This is one reason we have been hesitant to customize core functionality in places. If I read the notes, this should have been added in a "patches" folder that automatically changes the MySQL code to SQL Server equivalents, but the last time someone made a patch, they neglected to do that. It was added this time, so it shouldn't be an issue, but I've added my own note for the next status meeting that this is an item that should be checked.

It IS working for me again and, from the feedback from other folks, appears to be working for them, as well! I've also started to get notifications from other threads, as well! YAAAAYYYY!!! Tell the devs THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! I appreciate the fix!

This is how much I have paid attention to the alerts, prior to today, the last alert I received was way back on 2022-01-07. I just thought this thread was taking a vacation.

They are a pretty good sized company that has been around a long time but never had anybody to manage their databases at all. It is going to be an uphill battle. I did some consulting for them a few months ago and found over 400 heaps on their main production database. They need a LOT of help. I am going to be not only the dba but also need to help them with their many performance issues.

First of all, they have no issues with performance. There is no performance to have issues with. 😀

As for it being an "uphill battle"? As Ed Wagner might say, it's a target rich environment and you'll have the advantage of shooting downhill the whole time. 😀
