Hi,
I would like to know how to secure the Back up file so no body can restor it on another sql server. Example: I made a BK on Sql-server1 for user db name (clientdb) and only Sysadmin user can access it (SA) pass: test
now on Sql-server2 i create a new db name (clientdb) and the sysadmin (SA) Pass: Blank
I restore the back file from SQL-server1, now the syssdmin SA can open the (clientdb) DB and access all objects.
How I can prevent this situation to happen?

Use the PASSWORD option when backing up.

and make sure the PASSWORD is STRONG enough because if that is a concern dictionaries attacks run very fast on sql server!

Lightspeed also has encryption in their product if you are really worried. Most of the data in the backup file is ASCII text. While it can't be "restored" without the password AFAIK, it can be "read".
