Can't Drag Stored Procedure Fields to SSRS Design Surface

    Hi,

    I am working with SSRS 2008R2 and is getting an error when I attempt to "drag and drop" a field from a dataset that uses a SQL stored procedure although SSRS exposes the list of fields from the procedure. I added a calculated field to the dataset but still gets the error.

    Error Msg: "only fields from the current dataset can be added"

    You probably have a table linked to dataset 1 and trying to drag fields from data set z.

    That was my problem. I deleted and re-added the table to the form and it worked. Thanks
