Change Control System Design

  • I'm doing a project for University, part of it is designing a system, in this case a Change Control request system, I'm having difficulty finding any technical literature on Change Control from an academic point of view, the only one's I've found so far are trying to sell me a product. I tried the ITIL route but they still have product tie ins.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I'm designing it as a relational database and creating it in SQL which is why I've asked here, any documents that have both database design and change control would be a godsend but I doubt they exist, I've tried so many searches, getting a bit desperate now. :w00t:

    Thanks

  • Yes... look for "Configuration Management".

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.
"Change is inevitable... change for the better is not".
