.chk table??

  • SQL7

Does anyone know what a .ckp table is?

I am assuming it is created by a checkpoint...

I found a file named master.ckp from 4/23/03 and wondered if it was necessary to keep it. I am guessing it is OK to delete it but hate to do it when I find no documentation in BOL or KB.

    Thank you.

  • A .CKP file is created when a backup or restore fails in such a way that the WITH RESTART option can be used.  You can delete the file now...
