City Permitting Software

  • Just curious if anyone out there can recommend a SQL Server based application to support a City Planning, building, and permitting department.  This is for a mid-sized local government and I'd estimate there would be 20 to 40 users.  A browser based interface and built in data migration tools would be helpful as well.  I've googled this a bit, but can't seem to come up with any SQL server products specifically designed for this use.  Any thoughts or experience are appreciated.  Thanks.

  • sswords,

Not sure exactly what you're looking for but General Code Publishers has vast experience setting up systems for local governments exactly like you described. They have a large customer base and they have products that are SQL Server based. And their customer service is top-notch!! You should give them a call to find out if they can provide a solution for you. Their website is http://www.generalcode.com.

    Hope that helps.

  • We have been working with Govern Software for four years now, and they have been excellent to work with, They specialize in city permitting software along with appraisal software. This is their URL http://www.governsoftware.com/

  • Many thanks to all for the responses and the PM's.  I've been trying to put something together in the way of a quote for a friend and this information all looks quite useful.  I apologize for not responding sooner, but I just learned that my message notifications are being blocked by our e-safe software and have been working to get this fixed.    One more thing...guess I have to remember to check manually for now.  Thanks again.
