I just noticed that when one of my developers opened a .Net web app several SPIDs were created on our development db but now that he has closed the app, the SPIDs are still there but are sleeping. How long after an app closes should the SPIDs be closed? Is there a way to set this? Is this a problem in our app that we need to fix or a server issue?
