Configuring SQL Mail

    Hello,

    Is there anyway to configure SQL mail to use POP3 protocol to download mail?? (SQL server 2005)

    Hi Felix,

     

    As far as I know, you can use SMTP with SQL Mail to send mail messages only and not to download messages. SQL Mail is not a mail server.

    Hi Yaniv,

    May be the question was not the correct one. I was wondering if exists some way to receive mail using some SQL "service"  or "tool" or something else...

    The goal is to download mail mesages from the mail server suing the POP3 protocol and to process it inside SQL server.
