Connection TimeSlices

  • Is there a system procedure to limit the time a connection remains active or limit the connections a particular User may have on SQL 7.0?

  • Hi there

Not that im aware of, sure, connection and command timeouts but not a disconnect timeout. Hunt around on the client provider end, I dont believe there to be any sqlserver setting to control this globally. I'll ask around..

Im also thinking about the connection pooling paradigm for the provider, perhaps this is a non issue?

    Cheers

  • That's a possibility. How is connection pooling controlled at the server level for all connections using EM, QA ?
